Curate grew from Emily and Allaire's shared love of the hunt — and the belief that the most interesting homes are collected over time, not decorated all at once.
Drawn to pieces that feel distinctive, beautiful, and a little unexpected, they source vintage and antique objects for their character, craftsmanship, and ability to make a room more interesting. Their approach is less about provenance or perfection and more about finding things you simply want to live with.
Allaire Clark
Allaire brings the interior design experience to Curate, having transitioned from a corporate career to designing both residential and commercial spaces. With a style that blends modern contemporary with European elegance, she's never afraid to be bold — layering textures, statement pieces, and unique finds to create spaces that feel refined and unexpected. She travels frequently through Europe sourcing antiques that bring history and character into modern homes.
Emily Downs
After leaving a career in marketing, Emily found herself increasingly drawn to the hunt for beautiful things—pieces with history, character and a point of view.
At the same time, as AI began reshaping the way we create, shop and discover, she became interested in something decidedly more human: taste. The instinct to recognize what is special, the thrill of finding something few others have, and the way objects collected over time can tell a story that can’t be replicated by an algorithm.
Their shared curiosity ultimately led to Curate—a place to discover old things with new relevance, and a celebration of the idea that in an increasingly digital world, the things we choose to live with can feel more personal and unique than ever.
